You've saved the best till now!

I was reading John 2 in the message. Something struck my eye.  John is recounting the events of Jesus's first miracle - the water to wine at the wedding in Cana.

3 When they started running low on wine at the wedding banquet, Jesus' mother told him, "They're just about out of wine."
4 Jesus said, "Is that any of our business, Mother - yours or mine? This isn't my time. Don't push me."
5 She went ahead anyway, telling the servants, "Whatever he tells you, do it."
6Six stoneware water pots were there, used by the Jews for ritual washings. Each held twenty to thirty gallons.
7 Jesus ordered the servants, "Fill the pots with water." And they filled them to the brim.
8 "Now fill your pitchers and take them to the host," Jesus said, and they did.

Ok. A couple of things:
1) Jesus wasn't bothered or worried.
2) His mother believed He could solve the problem.

In His M.O. Of doing things the unconventional way, through His first recorded miracle, Jesus gives us a illustration of the greatest of miracles:

The vessels were empty. And accustomed to being  filled up with water - the ordinary.
When they were available and empty of the ordinary , they were used to be filled with the extraordinary.

That's like us. Whe we come to him, knowing the Master can and will help , and yielded to His sometimes unconventional methods, we get the pleasure of experiencing His manifest presence that's better than any vintage wine. And we get to dish it out to others so they get a taste and they'll turn to HIM and say " you've saved the best for now!"  And it will be "a glimpse of His glory" and people will believe on him.

And that's really it… abiding so close to the vine that others get a taste of his goodness poured out through the fruit in our lives and they are continuously drawn back to the love that's better than any wine through that one taste of love Towards them He displays through his yielded vessels. #BottomsUp!
