#TransformationTuesday

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

When Jesus died on Calvary, we died with Him. When He rose- victorious over all… so did we. When we begin to understand our identity in Christ-as a new, righteous, immensely and irrevocably loved, powerful , victorious overcomer, we transform from the inside out… and become less recognizable as our selves, and more so like our Father.

It's interesting the word transform is defined in The Strong's as metamorphosis. The same word used to describe the process a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly. Once the caterpillar is a butterfly , no one looks and says " oh,that used to be a caterpillar " ... No, they are amazed at the transformed creature... That is even called by a new name, has different methods of moving and eating, as well as new views. Where the caterpillar lived in the grass and had a slow crawl, the butterfly now flits and flutters high in the sky.

But how do we transform? We have to retrain our brain. According to Paul,  We are transformed by the renewing of our minds. By not conforming to what the world says about us thinking we can fly now…but transforming our thinking to line up with what the Word says. That our old selves were on the cross with Jesus, and we've been resurrected with Him into a glorious new life as co-heirs and co-creators on a co-mission of love.
